Benjamin Brace House: In cooperation with supportive, local businesses, Families Helping Families assisted with the complete makeover of this home used for the benefit of children in family foster care.
Love's Closet: Located in the Benjamin Brace house, new and gently used clothing continues to be available for children in family foster care. Average use is 5 to 10 times weekly by local foster families.
Back To School Rally & School Supply Closet: Located in the Benjamin Brace House, book bags and school supplies are available for children in family foster care.
Shoe Vouchers: Families Helping Families has partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Cedar Rapids to offer new shoes to each child in family foster care.
Annual Spring Gala: Our Spring Gala is the largest fundraiser we do all year. Most of the funding of our programs is generated through this event.
Other Outreach Programs: Families Helping Families works in many ways to service the community, the Foster Care System and its advocates. Families Helping Families Network, Marketing, Service Projects, Car Seats, Gift Cards, Training and more.
