Welcome to Families Helping Families of Iowa! We are a non-profit, volunteer group designed to help and support foster families. Families Helping Families is focused on meeting the needs of children in family foster care.
We believe that family is an essential part of any thriving community. We collaborate with local, state and national foster care organizations in an effort to facilitate mutual support, recognition, and the exchanging of ideas. We are advocates for children placed in foster care, when their voices cannot be heard.
We are always looking for volunteers! Please contact us so we can discuss how to put your talents to work!

This puts you on our mailing list and allows us to inform you of the programs and specials that we offer which may benefit the Foster Children in your care. Upcoming Events
We are now accepting reservations for Shop With A Cop. We are scheduled with Cedar Rapids Police for July 30th. Location is to be announced. Please email Cecie Stark at cecies@familieshelpingfamiliesofiowa.com to register your children in foster care, suitable other and relative placement. We are taking 100 kids on a $100 shopping spree with an Officer. Limit is 100 kids and is on a first come, first served basis.
For every new customer that signs up for satellite tv and mentions code FHF0709, Dynamite Satellite will donate $100. All we need is 100 people to sign up and they will donated $10,000 to FHF! Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services is a locally owned business which provides in-home one-on-one tutoring to students of all ages and in all subjects. Their tutors are state certified teachers or degreed professionals with a passion for teaching who provide highly individualized instruction in the comfort and security of your home.
